DDoS Attacks Come Back from Summer Break with Increased Frequency

DDoS Attacks Come Back from Summer Break with Increased Frequency

Over the summer, the number of Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks that Vercara mitigated decreased, however, the average size in Bits per Second increased. The attack traffic has reverted to its higher levels in September, and combined with the upcoming Shopping Season right around the corner, the last quarter of the year promises to be full of DDoS attacks. The good news is members of Vercara’s Cyber Treat Intelligence Team got together and discussed how to protect your company from these attacks. Items covered in this important recorded webinar:

  • DDoS trends and statistics for September and Q2 from Vercara’s SOC
  • The resurgence of attack frequency
  • An update on the latest activity from Killnet and Anonymous Sudan
  • Botnet tracking and the logging of source IP addresses in UltraDDoS Protect
  • The newly-discovered HTTP/2 DDoS Vector
  • Historical attack traffic during the shopping season
